Diethylene Glycol (DEG)
Description
DEG is an odorless, colorless, clear and viscous liquid with a sweet taste and has the chemical formula of C4H10O3. It is the co-product of ethylene glycol alongside with triethylene glycol (TEG). DEG is an important industrial solvent. In addition, it is utilized in the manufacturing of unsaturated polyesters, plasticizer and some important resins.
